Fondazione Bruno Kessler partecipates in the IPCEI-CIS through three of its research centers.
Digital Society Center (DigiS – https://digis.fbk.eu), a multidisciplinary group of 100+ researchers and technologists working in areas related to sustainability and quality of life. Digital technology has a pervasive impact on our lives and is reshaping our society. The challenge is to ensure that digital technology becomes a stepping stone to create a more sustainable, inclusive and secure society.
Augmented Intelligence Center (https://augmentedintelligence.fbk.eu/): Augmented Intelligence leverages artificial intelligence to enhance and improve human decision making, problem solving, and complex task execution through cooperative autonomous systems that amplify and extend human capabilities. The Center’s research includes foundational models for AI, the complexity of the interaction between person and AI, new forms of cooperative AI, and issues related to the ethical and sustainable use of AI.
Center for Cybersecurity (https://cs.fbk.eu): The benefits of digital innovation are not without risks such as the loss of control over citizens’ personal data, distortions of the democratic life of nations due to fake news and cyberattacks that threaten critical infrastructures. The Center for Cybersecurity aims to constantly improve cyber risk management by focusing on two main research lines: digital identity and virtual services quality.
